Party of Five! Maverick Blue, born 8/24/17

newborn and family

Ali and Matt welcomed their newest little bundle, Maverick Blue, on Thursday. He's a little peanut weighing in at 7#1oz. Look at the joy on all of these faces! Big sister Scarlet and big brother Caliber are overjoyed.

For numerous reasons, Ali transferred her care to Tampa General Hospital midway through her pregnancy, and I transferred from providing Doula Care to providing Distance Doula Care. This means that while I wasn't at their birth place while their baby was born, I was still able to spend time with them prenatally, teach them in a private setting, and they were able to consult with me prenatally and throughout early labor. One of my greatest joys is mentoring dads-to-be and watching them rise up to their role as mom's biggest support, and Matt did not disappoint. It's an honor to support families like Maverick's and share in their joy once baby arrives!

Join me in welcoming baby Maverick Blue into the world!

Love,

Chris
